Medway Cyrenians recognised that transitions are tough, especially the move into completely independent living. From the reasonable comfort, support and companionship of communal living, clients can easilybecome socially isolated and disengaged when they finally move on, with fewer creature comforts and a highly restricted budget. To help with this transition, clients who are making their final move into independent living are offered a resettlement service by Medway Cyrenians. The resettlement service prepares the client for their move and offers a weekly visit to support the client with the difficulties of independent living - form filling, budgeting, developing a social network of positive influences, setting up utilities can all be very daunting when they have to be dealt with all at once! Our aim is to ease the path for the individual client so that they become active and engaged citizens in the local community.
